Congratulations to Dorris Intermediate School teacher Jill Witte, who has been selected as an EvaluWise Outstanding Teacher of the Month! 

This award recognizes educators who demonstrate exceptional dedication and excellence in their field, and are a testament to the strong professional culture at their schools.

EvaluWise is the software program Collinsville CUSD 10 uses for staff evaluations.  Each month, EvaluWise highlights two outstanding teachers. Eligible teachers have received their district's highest evaluation rating on their most recent summative evaluation. 

Outstanding Teachers of the Month receive a certificate of recognition for their outstanding work in education and a $500 classroom grant from EvaluWise's parent company, Vista Learning.

The classroom grant is to be used towards classroom supplies and materials for the teacher's classroom. 

DIS Assistant Principal Leah Davis is Witte's evaluator.  She received the news that Witte had been chosen for recognition.

"Mrs. Witte is an outstanding teacher who creates a classroom where every student feels valued and capable of success," said Davis.  "She balances strong instructional practices with genuine care and building relationships, which fosters trust and engagement with her students.

"Through planning, adaptability, and commitment to continuous growth, Mrs. Witte meets diverse student needs while maintaining high expectations. This award is a well-deserved recognition of dedication, excellence, and the meaningful impact Mrs. Witte has on her students and colleagues."

DIS Principal Kevin Stirnaman added, "Jill is an extremely deserving recipient."
