The attendees joined peers from across the region to explore what the university offers for those pursuing careers in education. They attended sessions led by SIUE faculty, heard inspiring opening remarks from the Illinois Teacher of the Year and were motivated by a keynote address from Belleville administration.

Shawn Geppert, Teaching as a Profession and Education Practicum instructor, said, "Our students were able to connect with like-minded peers who share their passion for shaping the future of education. What an inspiring day for our future Kahoks Teaching Kahoks!"
