4th Grade Jamboree Events
The Jamboree is a fun Olympic-style competition. The students earn participation ribbons and special recognition for placing in the top spots of each event. Although some of the events get pretty competitive, the goal is for everyone to have a good time.
The 4th Grade Jamboree is a day when every fourth grader in our community comes together to celebrate the end of the school year and enjoy athletic activities.
The 4th Grade Jamboree events include: Running events: 50 meter, 100 meter, Half Mile, 50 meter Relay, Shuttle run. Field events: Softball Throw, Soccer Punt, Bean bag Toss, Long Jump and Pyramid Building.
The day ends with a tug-of-war competition between the schools. The winning class/school earns bragging rights for the upcoming school year and takes home a wrestling-style golden championship belt to display for the next year.
This year, Mrs. Whitener's class from Kreitner Elementary School was the winner.
2025 Jamboree Sponsors
Each child who participates in the Jamboree receives a complimentary t-shirt that is color coded by school.
This would not be possible without the generous sponsors who provide funding for the shirts and other event costs. Their organizations are listed on the back of the shirts.

Thank you to Those Who Make the Jamboree a Success
We appreciate the well-coordinated team that produces the Jamboree every year. A group of CUSD 10 staff works hard to make sure the Jamboree is a seamless operation so students can enjoy the day:
- The 4th Grade Jamboree is coordinated by Collinsville Middle School physical education teacher, Ryan Sidwell
- Our district's PE teachers pitch-in to help make the event a success
- A group of volunteers and CHS students come out to help
- Collinsville High School Athletic Director Clay Smith makes sure Kahok Stadium is set-up and ready to go for the big day
- Our food service provider, Sodexo, prepares and serves a healthy lunch onsite for all of the competitors, staff, volunteers and adult chaperones
- Bus transportation to bring all of the students to Kahok Stadium is coordinated by Assistant Superintendent Brad Hyre in partnership with First Student
- Our student resource officers provide security
- Our school nurses get involved by staffing a first aid tent at the event
