Kahoks are leading the way on PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports)!
Last week. Dorris Intermediate School educators Assistant Principal Dr. Leah Davis and Corina Hamilton were chosen to be "poster presenters" at the National PBIS Forum in Chicago.
PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, an evidence-based, three-tiered framework used in schools to improve student behavior, safety and school climate. Instead of relying only on reactive punishments like suspensions or detentions, PBIS focuses on explicitly teaching, modeling and reinforcing positive behavior.
CUSD 10 students know it as THE KAHOK WAY!
