Mrs. Mary Renfro, widow of former CUSD #10 Superintendent John A. Renfro, presented the scholarships to the 2018 John Renfro Bright Future Scholarship recipients:
Jasmine Bollan – will attend Webster University to study finance

Following Mr. Renfro’s death in 1996, Mrs. Renfro established the John A. Renfro Bright Future Scholarship Fund to allow Unit 10 students to attend educational-based summer camps. That program was discontinued to support the creation of a new scholarship for CHS graduating seniors.
CHS graduates who meet certain qualifications and “identify as Hispanic, African-American, other minority status, nationality or ethnicity and who reside in the Collinsville Unit 10 School District” are eligible to apply.
The $500 John A. Renfro Bright Future Scholarship is awarded through the Scholarship Committee of Delta Epsilon at Collinsville High School.
