Co-op Class & Ms. Ponce with Donation
The Collinsville High School Co-op class of 2019 delivered a bag of scarves, 10 bags of coats and $386 to Changing Lives Today. an organization that serves the homeless in East St. Louis and St. Louis.
The Coat Drive is an annual community service project organized by the students and Co-op program coordinator Kelli Ponce.
Coats were donated by CHS students and staff in collection boxes around the school. This year, the sale of scarves and cash donations brought in $256.00. One Warm Coat matched $130 worth of those donations.
“The students and I delivered these items to St. Louis and Bill Neumann from Changing Lives Today was very grateful.” said Ponce, “He told us this will make a big difference.”
