“Students had the opportunity to learn from world class surgeons in the fields of Pulmonology and Cardiology,” according to teacher Ann Wolff. “They dissected pig hearts, investigating all of the anatomy that they had learned prior to and during the lecture portion of the field trip.”
This hands-on experience brings lecture to life for each of the students. In addition to reinforcing what they’ve learned about in the classroom, students also have other opportunities. The AIMS program exposures them to a variety of career fields, as well as an outstanding college in the St. Louis area.
“My students are an outstanding group of young ladies and gentlemen. I know they will do great things in life,” Wolff added.
