Collinsville Middle School enrolls approximately 1000 students in grades seven and eight that come from the district's intermediate school. Students at each grade level are divided into four teams with four core subject teachers on each team. These teams allow students and teachers to interact and build nurturing relationships.

The curriculum at CMS allows for core academic subjects as well as fine arts, vocational, keyboarding and Spanish classes. Extra curricular activities include fine arts, sports, student organizations, contest and tournaments.

The vision of CMS is to create a positive and safe learning environment. The mission is to develop curriculum that is aligned to state standards and meet students' needs. CMS will strive to create a nurturing learning environment that encourages success and fosters self-discipline. The faculty, staff and administration will maintain open lines of communication with parents and the community.
