Congratulations to the CHS Marching Kahoks who finished 3rd in their division at the Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival at the Edward Jones Dome on Saturday, October 24.
The Kahoks overcame a 6-week practice and rehearsal deficit to come in less than 6 points behind the 1st place band from Lafayette. Incredibly, the band had only one opportunity to perform their full show before this past weekend's competition.
The show's title, "The Journey," has been symbolic of the band's journey this fall. The back of the band's show shirt reads, "The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination."
Congratulations to the new CHS band director, Mr. Joe Padawan, and the marching Kahoks on their spectacular performance and their "never give up" attitude!
