The students demonstrated great skill and represented our school with dignity and respect. The other sponsor, Dan Burns and I are please to be taking Anthony Rodriguez, Chris Mitchell, and William Warren to Nationals and watch them represent not only Collinsville High School, but the state of Illinois. They are in the process of soliciting donations to offset the estimated cost of $690 per person to attend Nationals. They have already gotten some sponsorship from Kelso Auto Body, as well as continue seeking local body shops and insurance adjustors, and IBEW union hall for the electronics student. National will be held in Kansas City, MO on June 23-28. In addition to competing all week, students will also be spending one day participating in a large community service project sponsored by Home DePot and Timberland boots working on inner-city parks, abused children's homes, and battered women shelters.
