In honor of Brad Kolo, a 1999 CHS graduate, a perpetual scholarship fund was set up in his memory (the "Brad Kolo Memorial Excellence in Technology Scholarship") to recognize a CHS graduating senior who exemplifies the following characteristics:
*Passion for learning in the areas of technology, astronomy and/or computer art
*Ability to use inventive and unique applications of technology
*Creativity
*Ingenuity
*Goal-driven
*Initiative
*Solid work ethic and follow-through
*Perseverance
Brad's mom, Sandy Kolo, was a long-time employee of Collinsville Unit 10. Both Sandy and her husband, Bernie, enjoy the ability to remember and honor their son through this annual scholarship program.

The Technology Department is now accepting applications of the $500 2008 Kolo Scholarship. If you know of a CHS graduating senior who would qualify for this award, please encourage the student to complete the attached application and submit it to: Unit 10 Technology Department, 201 West Clay Street, Collinsville, Illinois 62234.
