Three Collinsville High School wrestlers will advance to the state finals after this weekend's Granite City Class II Wrestling Sectional.

Two of the wrestlers, Ryan Robinson (189 lbs.) and Andy Springer (285 lbs.) were sectional champions. It is the first time in the school's history that it has had two sectional qualifiers in the same year. The last time CHS had an individual sectional champion was 1998.

Anthony Rodriguez (135 lbs.) also qualified for the state tournament by placing 3rd at the sectional.

In addition to the state qualifiers, the Kahoks had three additional noteworthy, 4th place finishers: Nolberto Deavila (112 lbs.), Demarco Dugan (145 lbs.) and Jacob Hess (160 lbs.).

Good luck to Coaches Blaha, Stolcis, and Slay as well as Ryan, Andy and Anthony as they travel to Assembly Hall in Champaign for the state finals on Friday, February 15.
