Collinsville High School Principal Eric Flohr was recently named the 2008-2009 Illinois Principal Association (IPA) Principal of the Year. This award is co-sponsored by the IPA and the National Association of Secondary School Principals Association (NASSP) in association with the United States Department of Education.

Mr. Eric Flohr, who is in his second year as principal of Collinsville High School, was one of many principals nominated throughout Illinois for this distinctive honor. His selection for this annual award recognizes the success he is achieving as a principal who provides high quality learning opportunities for students while making exemplary contributions to the education profession.

The announcement of this honor marks the beginning of ceremonial honors that will span into the 2008-2009 school year. Mr. Flohr will, formally, receive state recognition at the 2008-2009 Annual IPA Principals Professional Conference. He will also be a recipient of commendations at the NASSP National Conference and attend a symposium in Washington, D.C.
