Welding students recognized

Seven students from the Collinsville Area Vocational Center welding class were recently honored by the Sons of the American Legion for their hard work and dedication. They helped the Collinsville Sons of American Legion repair their BBQ grills at no expense. With this grill, the Sons of the American Legion can continue providing food and service to the community. These students have made a huge impression on the Legion, their school and in the community. They worked in real-world conditions of cold and rain to meet a deadline. The Sons of the American Legion awarded them with honorary memberships to the Legion, a plaque, shirts, hats and a dinner.
