CMS Positive Patio |

Students at Collinsville Middle School (CMS) were recently treated to lunch on our Positive Patio. This feature is a new project that was added to the Character Education programs offered at CMS. In order to qualify for lunch on the “Positive Patio”, students much complete one workstation within one month on an enlarged game board called the “Trait Trail”. The “Trait Trail” (located in the CMS Media Center is comprised of various workstations representing each character trait. Students utilize non-class time to complete a packet of material about famous historical figures who exemplified good character. Students completing one workstation each month are invited to dine on the Positive Patio topped off with an ice cream treat for dessert. Media Specialist, Mr. Michael Hayman, coordinates the “Trait Trail”. The Character Education Committee is under the leadership of Mr. Todd Pettit, Assistant Principal. |
