The function of the Buildings and Grounds Department is to maintain a clean and safe environment for the students and employees of all 12 buildings of the Collinsville Community Unit School District.
Responsibilities of the department include (but are not limited to):
General Upkeep and Repair
Emergency Systems (Lighting, Fire Alarms, Security Alarms, Fire Extinguishers, and Fire Sprinklers)
Elevator Inspection and Maintenance
Building Intercom Systems
Heating and Air Conditioning Systems
Grass Cutting and Property Care
Playground Equipment Inspection
Athletic Field Maintenance
In addition to the regular day-to-day operations of the district buildings, the maintenance and custodial staff also deliver, unload, setup, oversee and clean up after many extracurricular activities during the course of the school year.
