Day Sky/Night Sky KidPix Activity

Teacher Instructions
1) Open KidPix Deluxe.
2) Choose a thick pencil line from the choices at the bottom of the page.
3) Divide the page in half by drawing a line from the top to the bottom of the page. Be sure the line touches the top and bottom of the page. Don’t leave any gaps.
4) Choose a thinner pencil line and draw lines in the left and right side of the page to make ground and sky.
5) Choose the paint bucket and fill in the left side with the color of the sky and ground during the day.
6) Choose the paint bucket and fill in the right side with the color of the sky and ground during the night.
7) Show how to undo mistakes with the “uh-oh” button.
8) Save.
9) Chose the text tool. Make a text box on each side of the page.
10) Choose a color for the text.
11) Choose a font and size for the text.
12) On the left side type the words, “In the daytime I like to…” and fill in the end of the sentence with an appropriate activity.
13) On the right side type the words, “In the nighttime I like to…” and fill in the end of the sentence with an appropriate activity.
14) Show how to delete text by backspacing.
15) Save.
16) Go to GOODIES in the Toolbar and choose “Pick a Stamp Set”. Scroll through the choices and choose a set.
17) Pick stamps that illustrate your day and night activities and add them to the left and right sides of the page. Some of the sets, such as Weather, have star, moon and sun stamps.
18) Save.
