 SM Sergeant Jerry Duncan visited Kreitner Elementary School to present 4th Grade students with a flag and a framed certificate of appreciation for the letters and gifts that were sent to him while he was serving as a medic at Balad Air Force Base in Iraq.  One of Mrs. Parrill's Kindergarten students at Kreitner helps save the day! He was riding with his grandmother to school when he realized a house was on fire. He used his grandmother's cell phone to dial 911 and then directed his grandmother to the State Park Fire Department (to insure the fire fighters knew the fire's location) as he remained on the phone with the 911 dispatcher. He remembered how to get to the fire station from a class field trip earlier in the year! April 20 |
